The manga "Shadows House" was released in Weekly Young Jump magazine in September 2018. The work inspired an anime adaptation that premiered in Japan in April 2021. The second season of the anime, also produced by CloverWorks, premiered in July 2022.
The story of "Shadows House" is set in a dark and mysterious mansion inhabited by a group of enigmatic nobles known as the Shadow Family. With no visible features, these aristocrats use living dolls to act as their "faces". Kate and Emilico are one of those mistress and servant couples, living in their own little world and learning from each other day by day.
