On the occasion of Nippon Animation’s 50th anniversary, great artists reinterpret Hayao Miyazaki’s classic in an unmissable exhibition this June.
Future Boy Conan, the beloved series directed by Hayao Miyazaki in 1978, returns to the spotlight with an art exhibition commemorating Nippon Animation’s 50th anniversary. Under the name Our Future Boy Conan Exhibition 2025, the event will bring together unpublished illustrations by prominent Japanese artists, paying tribute to a work that marked the beginning of the legendary filmmaker’s career.
Two venues, one nostalgic experience

The exhibition will take place in Tokyo in two different venues:
- Rivest Yu Gallery: from 11 to 22 June 2025.
- Rivest Sou Gallery: from 13 to 24 June 2025.
Both locations will offer audiences the chance to immerse themselves in a renewed vision of the post-apocalyptic universe of Conan, with works that reinterpret characters, settings and emotions from the original series.
Renowned artists join the tribute
Among the talents participating in this celebration are:
- Yusuke Murata, illustrator of One-Punch Man, with a dynamic and detailed style.
- Sho Kitagawa, creator of 19 NINETEEN, with a fresh and contemporary vision.
- Toru Terada, recognized for his work on the manga adaptation of Drakengard.
- Noma Sabear and Atsushi Maeda, whose unique styles will also be part of this exclusive collection.
Attendees will be able to appreciate how these artists reinterpret the story of Conan from their own visual sensibilities, keeping alive the essence of an anime classic.
