The story of the “two princes” of the institute will debut as a television series in Japan at the beginning of 2026.
A week ago, the official website was inaugurated confirming that the manga “In the Clear Moonlit Dusk” (Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki), the work of Mika Yamamori, will be adapted into an anime for television. The premiere is scheduled for January 2026 through the TBS network in Japan.
A love story between high school “princes”
The plot follows Yoi Takiguchi, a girl with such an elegant and manly appearance that everyone nicknames her “the prince”. But her world changes when she meets Kohaku Ichimura, an equally charming boy who not only sees beyond her façade, but also awakens new feelings in her. Thus begins the story of these two “princes” who defy appearances and explore a sincere connection.
Cast and production crew revealed
The anime will feature the voices of:
- Rei Ichinomiya as Yoi Takiguchi
- Ryōta Suzuki as Kohaku Ichimura
The production will be in charge of the East Fish Studio under the direction of Yūsuke Maruyama. Ayumu Hisao, known for his work on Kono Oto Tomare!, will be in charge of the composition of the series, while Yuki Fukuda (Insomniacs After School) will be responsible for character design. The soundtrack will be composed by Tsubasa Ito.
A manga that has conquered the female audience
The original manga has been published since 2020 in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine, and its ninth compilation volume will go on sale on May 13. The work has been recognized among the best titles for readers in the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2023 guide, ranking number 11.
